Projects and quotes

Starting a project

How do I get a quote or start a project?

Email sales@biochromalabs.com or call (972) 454-9166 and describe the product or material, the question you need answered, any requested testing or specification, and your timing. Projects are scoped and quoted based on the request. If you are not sure what applies, we will help identify appropriate testing.

What turnaround time should I expect?

Standard turnaround is generally 5–10 business days from sample receipt, unless another timeline is established during quoting or project review. Rush service may be available for eligible testing depending on the method, sample type, capacity, and requested timing.

Can you help me choose the right test?

Yes. Tell us about the product, the decision you need to make, and any applicable specification or requirement. BioChroma will help identify an appropriate testing approach and confirm sample quantity, timing, and reporting requirements before work begins. Browse the capability directory for an overview.

What kinds of products do you test?

Dietary supplements, foods and beverages, cosmetics and personal-care products, topical and oral OTC products including sunscreens, pharmaceuticals, household cleaners and consumer products, and ingredients and raw materials, from routine quality testing to investigations, stability studies, custom R&D, and product-development support.

METHODS AND INVESTIGATIONS

Testing support beyond routine analysis

Can you work with an existing method or help establish one?

Yes. BioChroma can perform testing using applicable compendial, customer-provided, or laboratory methods. Depending on the project, support may include method selection, suitability assessment, transfer, development, verification, validation, or troubleshooting. Method requirements are reviewed before work begins.

Can you help investigate an unexpected or failing result?

Yes. BioChroma supports investigations involving unexpected results, contamination, product-quality concerns, method performance, and process-related problems. The work may include confirmatory testing, method review, additional analyses, sample-handling review, or broader technical evaluation based on the issue.

Do you support cleaning-validation projects?

Yes. BioChroma routinely tests swab, rinse, and residue samples for cleaning-validation programs, including analysis for active ingredients, detergents, cleaning agents, and other target residues. When recurring failures or unexpected results occur, expanded support may include recovery studies, method evaluation or validation, sampling-strategy review, cleaning-agent assessment, and process evaluation.

Samples and logistics

Sending samples

How much sample should I send?

Required quantity depends on the material, requested testing, number of analyses, replicate requirements, and study design. Contact BioChroma before sending limited or irreplaceable material and we will confirm what is needed. The sample-submission guide covers preparation in more detail.

How do I get samples to the lab?

Drop off at the Dallas laboratory at 1309 Record Crossing Road, Dallas, TX 75235, ship to the lab, or arrange a scheduled courier pickup through pickup@biochromalabs.com. Contact the lab first for time-sensitive, hazardous, limited, or unusual materials.

Do you test clinical or patient specimens?

No. BioChroma tests commercial products, ingredients, raw materials, and finished goods. Clinical or patient specimens such as blood, urine, or biopsy samples are not accepted. Commercial animal-derived ingredients may be accepted depending on the testing and handling required.

Do I need to fill out a form before sending samples?

Yes. Use the Analysis Order Form and include the completed form with your submission, covering customer, sample, requested analysis, specification, method, and handling details where they apply. If information is incomplete, we will contact you to confirm what is needed.

Results and quality

Reports and accreditation

How are results delivered, and what does a report include?

Reports are emailed as attachments to your designated contact, and established customers can also retrieve them through portal access. Routine testing usually produces a Certificate of Analysis covering customer information, sample ID and description, lot or batch, results and units, method reference, specification, pass/fail determination, accreditation status, qualifiers and limitations, notes, and authorized approval.

Is BioChroma accredited?

Yes. BioChroma is accredited by Perry Johnson Laboratory Accreditation, Inc. to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 for Biological and Chemical Testing. For questions about accreditation or project requirements, contact our quality team. Read more on the quality page.

Do you ever subcontract testing?

When subcontracting is necessary, BioChroma informs the customer, uses an appropriately qualified laboratory, and identifies subcontracted results in the final reporting.

Who do I contact with a question about a result?

Contact BioChroma with questions about reported results, methods, specifications, or report details. For a report concern, complaint, or accreditation question, email quality@biochromalabs.com.
